We’re uncompromising in our pursuit of world-leading coffee roasting technology, but we’re also eager to help more home baristas access the ability to roast at a high level at home.
To get there, we collaborated with our community to find a more cost-effective way to access the IKAWA’s world-leading roasting technology and green coffees without diminishing the roaster or coffee quality.
The two-year subscription to IKAWA Credit was the creative result of this effort. This longer-term relationship offsets the cost of the roaster and allows us to discount the up-front cost significantly.

What are the key points about the Roaster Subscription by IKAWA Home?
We’ve introduced the Roaster Subscription to lower the up-front cost of the IKAWA Home Roasting System and make roasting at home more affordable. When you sign up for a 24-month commitment to IKAWA Credit, we’ll give you the roaster for 30% off, lowering the up-front cost. Your monthly subscription payments are converted directly into IKAWA Credit, at the GBP value of your payment, which is yours to spend in the IKAWA Home Shop on green coffee, accessories, and shipping.
What is IKAWA Credit and how does it work?
IKAWA Credit is a balance on your IKAWA Home Shop account that can be used to purchase any green coffee, accessories and shipping costs. Each credit is worth £1 (GBP), and your monthly payments are converted into an equal value in your currency (if applicable).
When you subscribe, upon successful payment of your monthly fee, IKAWA Credits will be applied directly into your account on ikawahome.com. You can spend it every month or save it from ordering more later. You can check your IKAWA Credit balance at any time by logging in online.
IKAWA credits are not refundable or transferable and are available to use for 24 months from the date added to your account.
Does my IKAWA Credit expire?
Any credit on your account will remain valid to spend 24 months from the point it is added. For example, 30 IKAWA Credits added on 01 January 2022 will expire on 31 December 2024.
Who is eligible for this offer?
Roaster Subscription is currently only available for customers in the UK or the European Union. You must be over the age of 18. The IKAWA Home Roasting System is for personal use only and is not for use in a commercial setting.
If you are outside of the UK and EU, but are interested in registering interest in the Roaster Subscription please contact hereforyou@ikawacoffee.com so we can keep you informed on geographical expansions.
Am I tied into a contract?
Yes, the Roaster Subscription is a 24-month contracted commitment to purchase IKAWA Credit. We encourage you to read the full Terms and Conditions here.
What happens if I change my mind?
Roasting coffee at home with IKAWA Home is an incredibly enjoyable experience and lets you explore coffee in a whole new way. We’re confident you will love our range of green beans and the new control you have over how your coffee tastes.
With that said, if you aren’t completely happy, our 30-Day Cooling-Off Period means you can change your mind within 30 days of receiving the IKAWA Home Roasting System.
Just email us at hereforyou@ikawacoffee.com and we’ll help arrange the subscription cancellation and return of the equipment. The starter pack of green coffee is on us, but we can't accept returns or give refunds for additional green coffee you’ve purchased.
What happens if I want to cancel my contract after the cooling-off period?
If you want to cancel your contract after the 30 days cooling-off period and within the 24-month minimum term, you will be required to pay a termination fee of 50% of the total monthly subscription payments left of your 24-month minimum term. You are able to use any unused credit on your account towards this termination fee.
The IKAWA Home Roasting System is yours to keep, and any remaining credit on your account will remain there for you to use for 24 months after it’s added. IKAWA Credits cannot be refunded.
After the 24-month term, your subscription will automatically end.
